There is more and more popularity building in the running community about combining strength and flexibility work with a running plan as the perfect blend to create good runners.
and rightly so. Pilates is amazing at developing inner stabilising muscles that occasionally switch off in people who don’t make a conscious effort to train them, meaning bigger mobilising muscles try to then become stabilisers and that’s when injuries occur.
Pilates for runners concentrates on activating the stabilisers and also works on lengthening the muscles that become short and tight when running.
This class starts up again on Wednesday 24th January at 6.30pm in our wooden hut at Delamere.
